Asami started piano lessons at the age of four and became familiar with music at an early age, and began writing songs at the age of 18.
In 2005, she made her debut as a singer-songwriter with the mini-album "AIA" under SME Records.
Her first single "Fly Away" was used as the ending theme for the anime series "Eureka Seven," and her exceptional expressiveness and songwriting ability attracted widespread attention.

In 2012, she formed the production duo Tommy & Sammy with musician sugarbeans.

In 2015, they released their first album, "Tommy & Sammy".
She has written many songs for artists including KinKi Kids, Sexy Zone, ABC-Z, and many others.

She is also well-known for her back vocal arrangements and back vocal work that make use of her natural singing ability.

In recent years, she has gone beyond the boundaries of music, launching her own handmade shop, "Sammy's," and is currently working in a wide range of fields, making use of her diverse talents as a designer, illustrator, accessory maker, and manicurist.
